Digital Projection International (DPI) recently upgraded its LIGHTNING Series, announcing new features for the line at InfoComm. The flagship series of DPI’s three-chip product line-up, the LIGHTNING Pro Series, has been outfitted with new optical enhancements.

As DPI’s brightest and most advanced displays, LIGHTNING Pro Series 3D projectors are the flagships of their product line. Designed for the rigors of large-venue installations and staging, they excel in their rugged construction, stellar performance, quiet operation and low relative cost of ownership. Employing all of the new LIGHTNING Pro Series 3D features, an intelligent lens mount and 120Hz frame rate compatibility (2K models only), the LIGHTNING Pro Series 3D are the most capable and rapidly deployable large venue powerhouses ever conceived.

The new LIGHTNING Pro Series 3D projectors employ the latest in dark metal, 3-chip DLP™ technology, and include DPI’s exceptional RapidRig staging and stacking hardware with integrated pitch, roll and yaw adjustments.  Additionally, their exclusive ColorMax calibration capabilities include enhanced seven-point color correction for broader color space and accurate color alignment. 

All LIGHTNING Pro Series 3D projectors also incorporate DPI’s Hyper-Cooled lamp module, one of their CoolTek innovations.  Engineered with a proprietary, directional-flow reflector mask and radial heat exchanger, the Hyper-Cooled module dramatically improves projector thermal characteristics and extends reflector life and lumen maintenance.  In turn, these operating benefits provide a significant reduction to the long-term cost of ownership, while also enhancing component reliability.
