Tee it up for the Troops!

Mpace is once again teaming up with its sister company I:Space to sponsor the 4th annual Tee it up for the Troops National Day of Golf on September 5th.

Tee it up for the Troops is a nonprofit organization established by family and friends of a solder in the US Army. It was organized to assist, acknowledge and honor the fallen, wounded, and disabled soldiers who have sacrificed so much for our country.

On this day, golf courses around the U.S. invite these brave individuals to enjoy a round of golf. One day of golf should raise half a million dollars in scholarships and assistance to those who have sacrificed for our freedom. MSpace will be sponsoring along with donating the use of our digital signage for the event.

If you are interested in donating or participating in this event please go to www.teeitupforthetroops.com for more information.

Solve the Airline Price Burden on Your Company with MSpace
Monday, June 16, 2008
Source: Star Tribune, Scott McCartney

As gas prices continue to climb, airlines have little choice but to continue to raise ticket prices. When flying on the heaviest used long routes within the states, New York to Los Angeles, the fuel required for each passenger ranges from $300 to $500! This is only in addition to the array of factors ‘fueling’ the increase of your ticket prices: labor, maintenance, insurance, facilities, and management to name just a few.   With this understanding it may be easier to see why many main stream flights have more than doubled in price over the last couple of months. How can your business overcome this inconvenience and financial burden of the time?  Here at Mspace we are confident that we have an alternative right for you that will save your company time and money. Our audiovisual technology will allow you to remain grounded while your business continues to soar.

SERVING OUR TROOPS PROJECT: Rochester to Kosovo 2008 Supported by MSpace

Saint Paul-based nonprofit organization, Serving Our Troops, is dedicated to honoring our Minnesota National Guard members and their families, as well other troops from across the nation.  To demonstrate their extreme appreciation for theses soldiers’ commitment to our country, Serving Out Troups bring them just a bit of Saint Paul, MN –both here, at home and thousands of miles away—a home-grown, mouth-watering steak dinner with the family!

For the third year in a row, on Sunday, June 1, 2008, Serving Our Troops, Saint Paul and Rochester residents, and Minnesota businesses came together to serve up Sunday dinner with the family for our troops. Over 300 Minnesota National Guard Members currently stationed in the Kosovo region of Serbia met the Serving Our Troops team who. working with southern MN communities, traveled to Camp Bondsteel to serve our soldiers and other troops a steak dinner—all the way from Saint Paul and Rochester, Minnesota!  Back home at the Mayo Civic Center in Rochester, families simultaneously enjoyed a meal and great entertainment, with the entire event connected through video!

To make this event possible, MSpace and TDS came together bringing each of their specialties to the forefront. MSpace leveraged their expertise in videoconferencing to create an enhanced communication environment which allowed MN families to virtually interact live with their soldiers serving in Kosovo. TDS established a sound communication infrastructure which allowed for a consistent and high-quality video IP connection that the videoconference system requires in order to provide a successful videoconference call. Spokesman Mike Zipko said about 150 videoconferences had been held over more than four hours on Sunday.  An estimated 60 family members were able to talk directly with loved ones.

This partnership between MSpace and TDS added great value to the overall success to the “Rochester to Kosovo 2008" event as it brought families together while there were still many miles between them.

MSpace Institutes a Company Program that Affirms that

Embracing Change Does Create New Opportunities

MSpace’s 2008 Company Paradigm, “Embracing Change to Create New Opportunities”, has set the tone for cohesive and collaborative teamwork.

In effort to engage the MSpace team and to focus their energies on achieving our 2008 strategic goals, the leadership of MSpace has instituted an “Above & Beyond” Award program. Throughout each month, employees nominate fellow employees for going “Above & Beyond” and “Embracing Change” as they take on their role and responsibilities each day.  Each month, the individual who received the most nominations will be presented with an “Above & Beyond” Award for their previous month’s efforts.

Each day there are changes and challenges that occur in every business place. It takes patience and dedication to accomplish the everyday logistics of keeping a business in forward motion. MSpace wants to take the time to recognized and feature those individuals that are going “Above & Beyond” to create new opportunities for MSpace and who are reaching out to better serve our loyal customers.

In the month of March 2008, Steve Walberg (“Willie”) set the standard for going “Above & Beyond” as our first employee being recognized for his exceptional efforts as an MSpace’s Field Technician. His attention to detail, orientation of audiovisual integration knowledge and customer-focus has proven to build lasting business relationship. Thank you “Willie” for your commitment to our company and to our customers; you are an asset to our team!

MSpace A Finalist in Da-Lite's Award Program

MSpace Extends Opportunity to Undergraduates Seeking Entrepreneurial Experience

MSpace strongly believes in investing in today’s youth with the intention of introducing them to real world experience in an entrepreneurial business environment.

For the past three years, Ryan Heining, President of MSpace, has reached out to his alma mater, College of Saint Benedict | Saint John’s University, in conjunction with the Donald McNeely Center for Entrepreneurship, giving students the opportunity to gain valuable insight from an accomplished entrepreneurial company and experience the details of what it takes to grow that business on a local and national level.

The student is offered an autonomous and active role as an intern/apprentice with the company where he/she will be given an outline of objectives to complete throughout the internship, but is up to him/her to plan how they will be organized and implemented.

Real Qualities of an Entrepreneurial Intern

Over the course of the past three summers, three entrepreneurial-minded individuals have sought out MSpace and taken on the challenge of the offered summer internship. Each intern brought their own talent and ideas to the table offering MSpace a greater perspective in enhancing the company position in the marketing place.

These interns navigated through the outline of responsibilities set forth that needed to be accomplished during the duration of their summer internship using the resources around them, and went out of their way when there wasn’t an immediate solution. They came into MSpace not knowing the company industry nor the functions of business operations, but sought out learning experiences every chance possible – they immerged themselves to learn the trade. They demonstrated diligence and commitment in their work, brought energy and creativity to their role and office setting, and were accountable for there responsibilities.

MSpace’s intention and hope is that the summer internship experience will enhance and enrich the future endeavors of the intern, guiding them as they seek further personal and professional opportunities throughout their college career and afterwards.
