The Situation
Briggs and Morgan had a real need for a superior conferencing facility that would compliment the needs of their vast range of clients. The facility would need to enable small and large conferences, depositions, mock-trials, seminars, trainings, and events. They wanted a presentation and communication solution that would address the need to be flexible according to their hosted client’s needs. Briggs and Morgan chose to work with local architects KKE Design, enlisted the expertise of MP Johnson Construction, and used JL Rosewood for the custom millwork. MSpace was chosen as the full-service audiovisual integrator.
The Solution
MSpace listened to the customer, capturing Briggs and Morgan’s vision for a collaborative space by designing a solution that complimented the architect’s design while seamlessly integrating into the room décor and custom millwork. The room was christened The Minnesota Room. The full-service communication and conferencing center capable of comfortably accommodating 150 people, the Minnesota Room met the customer’s expectations of flexibility and scalability.
The Technology
The Minnesota Room features a large 120 inch 16:9 format rear-projection screen with a bright, high-resolution projector mounted in a custom mirror and cradle system. Videoconferences, presentation data from laptops and a dedicated PC, and cable television as well as VCR/DVD images can be displayed on this large screen. In addition to the rear screen projection system, two large interactive whiteboards on either side of the screen can be hidden behind ‘garage doors’ when not in use.
