MSpace Extends Opportunity to Undergraduates Seeking Entrepreneurial Experience

MSpace strongly believes in investing in today’s youth with the intention of introducing them to real world experience in an entrepreneurial business environment.

For the past three years, Ryan Heining, President of MSpace, has reached out to his alma mater, College of Saint Benedict | Saint John’s University, in conjunction with the Donald McNeely Center for Entrepreneurship, giving students the opportunity to gain valuable insight from an accomplished entrepreneurial company and experience the details of what it takes to grow that business on a local and national level.

The student is offered an autonomous and active role as an intern/apprentice with the company where he/she will be given an outline of objectives to complete throughout the internship, but is up to him/her to plan how they will be organized and implemented.

Real Qualities of an Entrepreneurial Intern

Over the course of the past three summers, three entrepreneurial-minded individuals have sought out MSpace and taken on the challenge of the offered summer internship. Each intern brought their own talent and ideas to the table offering MSpace a greater perspective in enhancing the company position in the marketing place.

These interns navigated through the outline of responsibilities set forth that needed to be accomplished during the duration of their summer internship using the resources around them, and went out of their way when there wasn’t an immediate solution. They came into MSpace not knowing the company industry nor the functions of business operations, but sought out learning experiences every chance possible – they immerged themselves to learn the trade. They demonstrated diligence and commitment in their work, brought energy and creativity to their role and office setting, and were accountable for there responsibilities.

Mspace’s intention and hope is that the summer internship experience will enhance and enrich the future endeavors of the intern, guiding them as they seek further personal and professional opportunities throughout their college career and afterwards.

Help Desk Technician

One of the “ Top 25 Best Places to Work in Minnesota " for Small Business (Minneapolis/St Paul Business Journal, 2005/2006) is looking for a seasoned Audio/Video expert to work on our Customer Service Help Desk. In this position you will be providing phone and on-site technical customer service support for audio, video and presentation systems. Technical understanding of video/audio conferencing, presentation, network and control systems is required. Must have superior listening, comprehension and troubleshooting skills as well as great communication and problem solving abilities. Duties will include phone support, trouble ticket processing, tech dispatch, RMA processing, database management and help desk inventory control. AV Installation background, CTS Certification, Creston/AMX control system programming and/or IP/IT experience would be a plus. Some travel required.

AV Account  Manager

AV Field Engineer/Installer

We are focused on customer integration and installing the best conferencing equipment available in the industry. You will be working with our engineers, programmers, project managers, sales and internal staff as you install professional AV systems designed to exceed customer expectations. Knowledge of Excel, Access, Auto-Cad, control system programs will be required. Programming skills in Crestron, AMX, Clearone products, CTS certification and/or low voltage certification a plus. Some travel required.
