Joel founded i:Space Furniture, an office furniture company, in 1993 and remains sole owner and president. Recent client projects of i:Space include Fingerhut’s new corporate headquarters, University of Minnesota Bioscience building and Welsh Companies’ new corporate headquarters. In 2007, i:Space won the prestigious award of “Dealer Partner of the Year” from its main vendor, Teknion. Joel and Ryan recognized the synergisms that existed between A/V technology, furniture, and the environment in which they can be found. The goal was to create an organization that bridged the gap and provided a seamless solution for the user.

Over the past fourteen years, Ryan has worked with a wide range of corporate technologies to include voice and data local and wide area networks, advanced network solutions, video and audio conferencing, distance learning, and a variety of audiovisual media products and technologies. As the leader of a highly technical audiovisual team at M:Space, it is his responsibility to insure that customers receive quality service at a fair price. He pursues vendors that know and understand our values as a business, and that with the M:Space team a partnership is formed that is focused on the common success of customers as well as that of the company.

Tom Riopelle joined the M:Space team as an Owner and General Manager in June 2004, and was named Vice President in June of 2006. Prior to M:Space, Tom was the interim General Manager / Director of Business Services for the AV Integration and Business Services Division of ClearOne Communications Inc in Minneapolis, Minnesota, which was purchased by M:Space in June 2004. Before his association with M:Space and ClearOne, Tom spent 11 years as General Manager for R.J Filut & Associates, a Minnesota based Sales, Marketing and Distribution Company. Tom has also had a long-standing connection with the audio and video industries as a platinum recording artist as well as manager and producer with National Talent Associates in Minneapolis. Tom is a University of Minnesota graduate, as well CTS certified.
